Max's Photo Shoot

It's taken me a while to get these ones posted. Max had his first photo shoot when he was just a tiny little guy. He did a great job and slept right through it, so we were able to get several poses. I think they turned out pretty cute! Enjoy!

We Love Our Max

Max at 1 day old in the hospitalSo lucky to have sister around. She loves him and loves to carry him--it's amazing he doesn't really care being flopped around (makes us slightly nervous haha!)One night, we found these two all snuggled up asleep. It was soooo cute! Don't worry, we snapped about 50 that night. It pretty much melted our hearts. Here he is at 4 days old in his Boppy. Such a round face!
Ry and little guy.

Bentley & School

Bentley graduated from Children's Academy Preschool in August. They had a graduation ceremony, diplomas, awards, and a party afterwards. She loved her school, teachers and especially the friends she made along the way. We are so proud of our little graduate! She started Kindergarten on September 3. A new school, new teacher, new kids for her to get to know and become friends with. We are very proud of her with all the many changes she's had to go through recently--she's handled all of them so well.

Misc Summer Post

Just trying to catch up a little on my blogging (if you haven't noticed). I'm such a slacker! Here's just some random summer 2010 pics. This year marked Bentley's first time riding the "big rides" at Lagoon. Wahoo! finally tall enough. Loooooved the Wild Mouse--riding it over and over and over and over...Hated the Colossus--though I think I was more nervous watching her on it. Loved Dracula's castle too. She's such a dare devil!

Enjoying a little break outside with several stuffed friends.
Obon Festival 2010
Hailey's pony party
A field trip to the firestation. Thanks Kelly, for showing the kiddos around.

Baby Showers

I am very grateful for the baby showers I received--even though this was my second baby! My dear friend and co-worker Amy gave me one with the girls I've worked with over the years. She is the most talented & creative person I know so of course the decor was adorable down to the last little detail.
My sweet friend Dor also gave me a baby shower. Of course we always have a good time together laughing and talking about everything. The food and company was excellent!
My dad surprised my cousin Amy and I at the last Kawa get-together with a shower. I guess you could call it a "shower"...all my family sat and watched us open gifts! It was her first girl and my first boy. No pictures (ooops!) but super fun. Then my sister-in-law Melanie put together a shower/luncheon at Olive Garden with all the Johnston gals. Again, no pictures but definitely good times. Thanks everyone!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Hope your day was great. I know mine was! I woke up to this sign made my Ry and Bentley with my faves (minus the sponge). I love creative gifts!

Here's the card B made at school. The teacher must have asked what about your mom makes you glad, because Bentley's says "Mom, I am glad you make me grateful". I also received some handmade soaps she did at school. But then she wanted them to make a beautiful picture.

We had our annual brunch celebration with my mom's side of the family. I sure do love my mom a lot. She has done so much for me and I appreciate her very much.
I love being a mommy to this sweetheart. I can't wait for our little guy to come along too!

Finding Mom's Eye Shadow

Have been leaving my makeup out lately...guess this was bound to happen eventually! It could have been worse.

Happy News

It's a BOY!!!

We are really excited! I'm feeling slightly apprehensive since all we know is girly-girl, pink, Barbie, Polly Pockets, and tea parties but we (especially Ryan) are looking forward to little league football, soccer, baseball, cars, and all that goes with boy. At least I hope that's what he's into, right?

Bentley was hoping for a sister but she said she's just happy to have a baby. We've been letting her tell people and the first thing she says is, "My baby is going to be a boy!". I already know she's going to be a little mommy to him. He'll go crazy having 2 people mothering him!

I am hopeful to get back into blogging. I have been so sick this pregnancy and just haven't felt like doing much. Now that I am 20 weeks, I am feeling much better and actually have some energy.

We also just bought a house! We close on May 19 and hope to start moving in soon after. It sure is a cute little place with a great backyard for the kids to play. I'm just so excited to be a homeowner again!

We are all doing really well. Bentley is in a combo ballet/jazz dance class at a company I danced with years and years ago and is also in Learn-to-Skate. It's been quite the trip down memory lane going back to the rink and seeing my coaches and fellow skaters (who are now coaches). She is definitely our girly girl and wants nothing to do with sports involving a ball. We'll see how she does with dance and figure skating. Well, come back and visit soon.

Trying to Play Catch Up

I can't wait for winter to be over with. C'mon with the freaking spring time weather! Maybe I'll get inspired to blog more too. Oh well, hangin' in til then.

At least we've tried to enjoy the snow by heading for the hills with the Johnston's. We had a family sledding day. A few crash & burns but pretty fun for the most part.

In January, Bentley turned five! I can't believe how grown up she is. We had a big party at Bouncin' Off the Walls where several of her little pre-school aged friends gathered to celebrate with us. She had a great time. They were soooo cute. Each one couldn't wait to give her thier present and tell her all about it. She looks a little overwhelmed here.
We just celebrated Ryan's 30th birthday too. I took him to the Roof for dinner. The next day, we enjoyed breakfast and a trip to the Bountiful Temple. We didn't take any pics--well, we did but I am so ugly in them and it would frighten you if I posted them. Happy Birthday, sweetie!
